Film: The Hideous Sun Demon (1958)
Alias: Dr. Gilbert McKenna, Gil
Type: Mutant
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: When one sees a full moon, he/she might have it in the head that a beast empowered by the night is stalking. But now, not even the sun is safe to be under. For the Atomic Age has given rise to a powerful monster that thrives on this hot summer day.
History: Dr. Gilbert "Gil" McKenna was just a regular scientist until something went wrong with testing a new radioactive isotope. The thing ended up cursing him to the nth degree, for now every time he went into the sun, he would undergo a state of devolution, turning into a gruesome lizard-man (yes, it's one of those explanations). Horrified by what he had become, Gil ended up a wandering fugitive.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: Gil is eventually chased up a tower by the cops before getting fatally shot. He soon plummets to his death.
Powers/Abilities: Even outside of the sun, Gil now has impressive strength.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3-While easy to kill, it's hard to sneeze at how ferocious this thing looks and acts. It's also hard to not pity him immensely.
Trivia: -This film was meant to be a loose adaptation of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". It shows.
-The film was the creation of a bunch of students from the University of Southern California. Considering how much this cheese-fest ended up costing, they clearly bit off more than they could chew.
